XIAMEN, CHINA - On February 18, CCPIT Xiamen /WTC Xiamen held the TPOs Meeting Q1 & Media Networking 2016 in Xiamen. TPOs from 17 countries and regions including Australia, Britain, Germany, Canada, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, relevant government departments including Administration of Xiamen Area of China (Fujian) Pilot Free Trade Zone, Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce and Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Xiamen Municipal Government, and 12 media including China National Radio, China News Service, China Daily, Xiamen TV attended the meeting. The leaders and participants spoke freely on “Deepening the exchanges and cooperation between Xiamen and TPOs” for practical cooperation at the meeting.
Ni Chao, the deputy mayor, attended the meeting and gave the opening speech. She said Xiamen was the center of west bank of Taiwan Straits and the strategic pivot city along the Maritime Silk Road with great development prospects. She hoped that the TPOs could cooperate with relevant government departments to face new opportunities and challenges, offer advice and suggestions for building a “beautiful Xiamen”, and create a better future together.
William Su, Chairman of CCPIT Xiamen /WTC Xiamen, said that in the coming year, CCPIT Xiamen /WTC Xiamen will focus on development strategy of industrial upgrading, actively promote e-commerce development, boost cooperation with TPOs, and organize more “the Belt & Road” series activities.
The participating TPOs introduced their plans and shared business opportunities of their own countries and region actively, trying their best for seeking their “partners in Xiamen”.
