TWENTE, NETHERLANDS - Every year, the World Trade Center Twente Business Club organizes a conference on doing business in a particular country as central point. This year’s conference on September 22nd, was organized in cooperation with Schuitemaker company in Rijssen, th Netherlands. Schuitemaker has been developing, producing and selling agricultural machinery for over 95 years in the areas of fodder production, feeding and manure spreading.
During the conference the key speakers shared their experience in doing international business with the USA.
The conference started with an introduction by the chairman of the WTC Twente Business Club Mr. Wim Geul. The general manager Mr. Johan Veenstra of Schuitemaker opened the conference officially and gave a presentation about the company and how they started doing business with the USA.
After the presentation the 45 Business Club entrepreneurs attending the conference where provided with a factory tour that included the production area of the agricultural machinery. After these guided tour the keynote speaker Mr. Christian Bartley, former CEO of the World Trade Center Wisconsin, gave a presentation about the do’s and don’ts of doing business in the USA. Of course there was opportunity to ask questions and to start a discussion about doing business in America.
The conference was concluded with drinks & snacks and the opportunity for networking. Besides that the attendees were able to talk to Mr. Bartley to receive some individual advice for their specific company for doing business in the USA.
