Mr. Sagar Chordia and Mr. Nikhil Oswal of WTC Pune recently interacted with British Trade Delegation in Pune for a Future Manufacturing & Innovation Workshop organised by Department for International Trade, British Trade Office.
Team WTC Pune met The Rt. Hon Liam Fox, MP Secretary of State for International Trade - UK and the trade delegation of UK Companies at a dinner reception.
Mr. Chordia had the opportunity to interact with Mr. Kumar Iyer British Deputy High Commissioner & Director General, Department for International Trade in India.
The high level delegation – part of British Prime Minister Theresa May visited India on a three-day trade mission to New Delhi and Bengaluru. Under the umbrella of India-UK Technology Summit, four other summits were organised — on Higher Education, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Design and Intellectual Property Rights
WTC Pune is proud to share that Pune has been selected as a finalist for the World Smart City Awards 2016 in the City Category at Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona (Spain) and ranked amongst the six global finalists. A detailed city profile of Pune and largest ever citizen engagement in India formed the basis of the proposal. Pan city solutions were developed for maximum impact and local area solutions were designed for replicability.
Pune earlier ranked 2nd in India's Smart Cities Challenge to win funding of US $ 150,000 from Government of India.
