NAVI MUMBAI, INDIA - WTC Navi Mumbai successfully organised its third International Business Guidance Seminar on May 20 on the theme of β International Business Dimension of Startups β. As many as 40 delegates participated in the Seminar deliberations and derived benefits thereof.
Jayant Ghate , Advisor to the WTC Navi Mumbai welcomed the participants and remarked that the WTC itself is in a startup phase of providing trade services to the business community. He added that Export and import business offered excellent opportunities for start-ups and the WTC Navi Mumbai would be happy to help start-ups in this field. Government of India and also Government of Maharashtra have evolved promotional policies that are encouraging for the startup business to grow and develop globally.
Deepak Ghaisas , Chairman of Gencoval was the Chief Guest and Mentor at the Seminar. He shared his experience and expertise in the subject in an inspiring speech. β One must have a unique product or a service which is the key for achieving success in this field . Further one must have strong commitment and patience to realise the business ideas and put them into practice β. He gave several examples how he started his software business at USD 1 million and converted his company to USD 400 million worth . He also underlined importance of business incubation service in the startup business.
Harshavardhan Ranade , Founder of Biznovators emphasized the entrepreneurship skills which are necessary for any new business startup . Especially he laid stress on raising confidence level . β You must believe in yourself and your business ideas. And for that , you must have love to do so and be prepared to take risks β , he said.
Dr. Sachin Pethkar , Director DIGIN Technologies explained business potential of his e-commerce portal / platform DIGIN and offered opportunities to the participants to work together.
Participants asked a number of questions and interacted with the guest speakers to gain insight into the theme subject. They expressed that the WTC Navi Mumbai would do well in organising similar programs in future.
