NEW YORK, NY, USA - June 29, 2016 - An eighteen-person delegation from Nanchang, China visited the World Trade Centers Association office in New York to sign an Memorandum of Understanding leading to a new License for World Trade Center Nanchang. The delegation was led by the mayor of Nanchang, Mayor Guo An.
Mayor Guo An and his delegation aim to strengthen the relationship between China and the United States while also encouraging non-governmental organizations to do business in their region. They plan to use the World Trade Center Nanchang to build a platform for a stronger Sino-American relationship through trade and economics. Nanchang is the capital of Jiangxi Province in southeastern China with a population of approximately 5.4 million.
WTCA Vice President, Asia Pacific Scott Wang recently visited Nanchang in March, where plans for a new World Trade Center operation were discussed and a WTC location was chosen. The WTC License for Nanchang was approved at the WTCA Executive Committee meeting in July.
