MOSCOW, RUSSIA - The World Trade Center Moscow received a delegation of representatives of the Indian business community led by Mrs. Khyati Naravane, Assistant Director — Trade Promotion, WTC Mumbai, and Mrs. Renu Verma, Director, All India Association of Industries (AIAI). The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the new vectors and further steps aimed at the promotion and reinforcement of cooperation.

IT and industry, especially hi-tech machine-building, electric machine-building and aircraft-building were named among priority areas of interaction between Russia and India. The colleagues from the WTC Mumbai also told their Russian counterparts that they had recently opened a few centers across the country to promote their various industries.

Both parties have expressed the conviction that bilateral business missions on various areas of activities are a promising endeavor, as they allow the two countries to share experiences and to network on a business level. According to Alexander Rybakov, Advisor to the General Director of PJSC WTC, about 500 Russian representatives have taken part in business missions organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia in the past eight years, and that experience can be considered quite successful.

Cultural cooperation of the two countries was not neglected either. Quite recently, Vijay Kalantri, the leader of the AIAI and the Chairman of the Board, WTC Mumbai, was awarded the Pushkin Medal, and the importance of the prize was emphasized by the representatives of the World Trade Center Moscow. During the discussions, the WTC Mumbai was also invited to take an active part in a project to share management practices employed at WTC complexes, including those used in the congress and exhibition sphere.

It should be reminded that some time ago, in 2013, the WTC Moscow signed a framework cooperation agreement with the WTC Mumbai and the All India Association of Industries.
