MOSCOW, RUSSIA - From February 5 to 7, World Trade Center Moscow hosted “Foreigners Life,” a trade fair for expats living in Moscow and the biggest platform for communication between expats and Russians interested in the dialogue with the international community. Foreignerslife is the first exhibition entirely dedicated to the life of foreigners and expats in Russia. At the moment there are about a million of expats living and working in Moscow.
According to the organizers of Foreignerslife exhibition, French citizens Patrice Le Lann and Gerald Autier, who have been working in Russian business for a long time, the idea of the event came to them from their own experience of living in different countries and organizing their lifestyles in new places.
Among the participants of Foreignerslife were the companies that provide services for the expats, as well as foreign companies that were interested in entering Russian market. The fair “Foreigners Life” was divided into six sections: Comfort and Care, Migration Support, Education, Recreation and Leisure, Finance and Law, other professional services. Within the framework of these themes, conferences were organized where more than 130 product and service providers spoke about their offerings. The speakers covered most acute current topics with a special emphasis on the life of foreigners in Moscow, such as Current Economic Situation, Global Image of Russia, Security, Business, Education and Culture. The purpose of the gathering was to assist expats in getting answers to all questions they might have on how to live and work in Russia in a comfortable environment perfectly compatible with their habits, and what is the best way of organizing their life and business here. The attendees took part in interactive workshops, master classes and product samplings.
The fair organizers think that interaction like this will make people’s lives better, help them establish personal and business connections between countries and individuals, and make our world a more comfortable place for everyone.
