LAS VEGAS, NV, USA - The WTC Las Vegas prides itself on providing a one-of-a-kind platform for international partners, manufacturers, and distributors to come together and establish direct relationships with foreign business partners.
The value of face-to-face meetings is immeasurable when it comes to creating meaningful relationships amongst agencies across the globe. On May 31, WTC Las Vegas representatives had the opportunity to further explore international opportunities during a meeting with Mr. Amit Goel of the World Trade Center Noida, India.
Mr. Goel reached out to the WTC Las Vegas as part of his mission to visit several WTC sites throughout the world to gather information and best practices that can be applied in India.
When Mr. Goel arrived at the Las Vegas World Trade and Convention Center, he was greeted by a number of representatives from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, U.S. Commercial Service, the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance and the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development. Although Mr. Goel expressed that the WTC Las Vegas meeting incorporated more participants than most he’s conducted to date, the group was able to have an in-depth conversation with valuable insights on the economic landscape of business in Nevada and India.
The group discussed growth opportunities specific to each region and explored synergies across a number of industries. Mr. Goel shared India’s increasing advancements in technology, conservation and engineering as well as the need to connect professionals with resources to grow their businesses. As home to nearly 22,000 meetings and conventions annually, Las Vegas provides a wide range of opportunities for networking across a number of industries. In addition to emphasizing efforts to attract people to Las Vegas to conduct business, the WTC Las Vegas also shared details of its ongoing trade missions held throughout the year to facilitate partnerships internationally.
Looking ahead, Mr. Goel hopes to expand the presence of the WTC in India. May’s meeting between WTC Las Vegas and WTC Noida represents a strong example of the collaboration and learning benefits created through the wide-reaching WTCA network.
