BHUBANESWAR, INDIA - World Trade Centre Bhubaneswar organizes seminar to facilitate trade & business with Taiwan
World Trade Centre Bhubaneswar with World Trade Center Taipei co-organized a seminar in association with Odisha Small Industries Corporation Ltd. on how to do business with Taiwan here on 19th August 2016 at IDCO Towers. The seminar aimed at facilitating trade & business with Taiwan. The sectors such as engineering, plastics, sea food, electronics, food processing, bio degradable products and IT have lot of potentials in Taiwan in terms of technology, raw material, spare parts, machinery etc. which could be utilized by the MSMEs of the state for developing their enterprises and venture into assembling and direct manufacturing process.
A team from World Trade Centre Taipei Kolkata Centre headed by their Director Mr. Tu Fu Han, while conducting the seminar through presentations deliberated on the various opportunities which could be explored by the MSMEs of the state as well introduced Taiwan Product Centre which is one of their new initiatives towards promotion of bilateral trade. While Mr. Tu Fu Han presented a generic view about the economic scenario and the emerging trends of trade and business in Taiwan, he also highlighted the unexplored resources possessed by Odisha in terms of natural resources and skilled human resources. Mr. Anup Narayanan, Project manager, Taipei Product Centre Kolkata presented on the certain latest Taiwanese innovations & products which could be utilized by the entrepreneurs of the State.
Dr. Parthasarathi Mishra while lauding WTC Bhubaneswar for the initiative deliberated on the trade relations between Taiwan and Odisha way back from 2012 which took a concrete shape today through of this seminar. He also asserted to the participating MSMEs that they should leverage this opportunity to interact with the Taipei representatives and also explore the export friendly policies of the government.
Earlier Ms. Nimeshika Natarajan, Manager, World Trade Centre Bhubaneswar took the opportunity to welcome the participants and dignitaries to the seminar. She further emphasized that WTC Taipei was amongst the best performing World Trade Centres in the global network of WTCA, New York and specializes in exhibit, business & trade promotion services. “World Trade Centre Bhubaneswar has been actively extending its services to the entrepreneurial mass of Odisha by means of educating them and enhancing their access to the global markets” she added.
The seminar was largely attended by the enterprises of the state across various sectors. A lively question answer session added much value to the session.
