MOSCOW, RUSSIA - Today, in the framework of the visit to Moscow, the delegation of the Executive Committee of the World Chambers Federation (WCF), headed by Chairman of the WCF Board, President of the Slovak Chamber of Commerce Mr. Peter Mihok visited World Trade Center Moscow.

The Head of WCF was accompanied by his Deputies – Former President of the National Chamber of Commerce and Services of Uruguay Ambrosio Bertolotti, President & CEO, American Chambers of Commerce Executives (USA) Mick Fleming, WCF Administration Director Anthony Parkes. The esteemed guests were received by the Director General of the Center Mr.Vladimir Strashko. Fr om the WTC’s side Deputy Director General for Finance and Commerce Mr. Vadim Subbotin, Counsellor to the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Mr.Georgy Petrov, Director of the Crown Plaza Moscow World Trade Center Ms.Elena Belashova, Director of the Congress Activities and Businesses Development Department WTC Moscow Ms.Daria Salamatova and representatives of the WTC Office-Apartment Department participated as well.

Representatives of the World Trade Center told the guests the rich history of the Center and explained what makes it an ideal place for foreign companies planning to enter the Russian market. WTC not only combines all that is needed to start business: offices, apartments, conference rooms for rent, accommodation in a world-class hotel, facilities for holding all kinds of events, but also provides information and analysis support to Russian and foreign companies, helping them to adapt to local market conditions.

Counsellor to the President of the Russian CCI Mr.Georgy Petrov highlighted three main criteria of the WTC’s success: perfect location, total safety and professional team. Foreign colleagues, Mr. Mick Fleming in particular, highly estimated the professional qualities of the WTC staff, noting that great people work in all areas.

Deputy Director General for Finance and Commerce Mr. Vadim Subbotin emphasized that WTC Moscow gives special consideration to the environmental issues: “Notwithstanding that WTC is located in the center of the city, we are surrounded by the park area on the bank of the Moscow River. Moreover, we were one of the first organizations in Moscow to participate in the development of electric vehicles program – we equipped the territory of the center with charging stations for electric cars.

Foreign colleagues watched WTC’s corporate video, which was recognized as one of the best videos at the IV All-Russian contest "Best Corporate Video - 2015" organized by the Russian Association of Communication Directors and Corporate Publishing. Peter Mihok invited Russia to come forward as a candidate to host WCF conference in 2023. "Russia has a good chance to be elected" - said Mihok.

Prior to the meeting in WTC, June 21, WCF delegation participated in the forum on "Strengthening cooperation between the World Chambers Federation (WCF) and the CCI of Russia" held by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and on June 22 had a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov.

In his interview with the press-service of the World Trade Center Mr.Mick Fleming said: "As far as I deal with supporting small businesses and organizing of trade missions, I am interested in services offered by WTC. It would be great to have a place where everything necessary for a successful start is provided - both congress and office facilities as well as guidance and expertise if necessary. Unfortunately, many American companies limit themselves to the internal markets, majority of them, except for the giant corporations, do not trade with foreign countries. Small and medium sized companies are not involved in the international trade, but my colleagues and I try to inspire them to do so. "Great location and qualified staff, in my opinion, make the WTC one of the most attractive facilities in Moscow", - said the Deputy Chairman of WCF, President & CEO of American Chambers of Commerce Executives.

Ambrosio Bertolotti said that their delegation is impressed by the Russian capital: “It is my first time in Moscow, and I'm amazed by what I see here! Moscow tuned out to be a very beautiful great city, while we imagined it to be gray with small vehicles. I think that you should make every effort to promote it! With the same advice, we addressed your Foreign Minister yesterday. Encourage tourists to visit Moscow and an old image of Russia will be broken down”.

World Trade Center looks very modern and user-friendly. This important laconism generates magic of creativity. Chambers of Commerce around the world represent intermediary between government and business, therefore interaction and communication is vital for chambers to promote entrepreneurship. A multifunctional center must be flexible to meet the needs of different clients. World trade center is a place wh ere you feel that a common ground can be found", - said the WCF Administration Director Anthony Parkes.
