The '2023 Taiwan EXPO Japan,' the highest-profile event of its kind in the history of Taiwan-Japan economic and trade exchanges, concluded successfully on the 11th in Tokyo's Shinjuku. Under the guidance of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and organized by the International Trade Administration and the Taipei World Trade Center (also known as Taiwan External Trade Development Council, TAITRA), the three-day exhibition attracted over 20,000 visitors and facilitated business opportunities totaling $85 million USD.
Marking its debut in Japan, the 2023 Taiwan EXPO Japan adopted the theme of "Smart and Sustainable Living Vision." Breaking away from traditional display formats, the exhibition incorporated scenes from everyday life, integrating aspects of food, clothing, shelter, transportation, entertainment, and healthcare. It showcased Taiwan's businesses engaged in digital transformation (DX) and green transformation (GX) through immersive scenarios. Alongside these technological displays, popular Taiwanese snacks and souvenirs, beloved by the Japanese, were also featured. A total of 135 Taiwanese companies actively participated in the event.
