MOSCOW, RUSSIA - The key event of the year for the meetings industry professionals - ICCA CEC Summer Meeting with the theme: "From New Normal to the New Future. Opportunities and challenges faced by the European meeting industry today" took place on August 18, 2016 in Moscow. The welcome cocktail launched the first day of the event followed by the tour round World Trade Centre premises.
International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) held the traditional summer meeting of its largest chapter - Central European - in the Russian capital for the first time. It brought together experts in the field of business meetings to discuss the main issues of the industry. Meeting industry professionals had the chance to acquire new Russian and foreign business contacts, get acquainted with the recommendations and case studies of leading international experts in the field of congress activities, as well as learn more about the ICCA Association and its members. The intense three-day program of events implied discussion and practical sessions, presentations of the best venues in the city, as well as excursions and entertainment.
The project was implemented with the support of Russian representatives of event-industry, who initiated participation of Moscow in the tender for the right to host the ICCA event. Among them are The Moscow Convention and Exhibition Bureau, RESTEC EVENTS (part of the Group companies "Restek"), World Trade Centre Moscow, International Agency of Congress Management (MAKO).
