Greeting from Scott Ferguson, CEO of WTCA

Jun 28, 2016

NEW YORK, NY, USA -

Dear Readers,

It is with great honor and that I assume my new role as CEO of the World Trade Centers Association. It is a true privilege to serve you, our Members.

Having assumed my new post on June 6th, my 6-month goal is to assess the existing organizational and business building initiatives, and set a firm strategic course for the organization to better strengthen and grow the WTC Network. We have an incredible opportunity to lead trade and development initiatives worldwide at a time of unprecedented change in the global economy, and I am eager to get started.

We have some exciting initiatives currently underway. The first is the new program structure of the upcoming Member Seminar in New York, October 16-18. In assessing the programming similarities between the WTCA General Assembly and Member Seminar, we have decided to restructure the latter to better onboard newer WTC Members, as well as train new staffs of existing WTCs. The 2-day Member Seminar Program will reflect one day of “New Member Training”, following by a day of WTCA leadership updates, networking sessions, speakers and WTC presentations, as well as the unveiling of the WTCA Corporate Video. We will, as always, provide ample time for both structured and open networking amongst Members. I encourage all of you to attend.

In April of 2017, we will be hosting the WTCA General Assembly in Las Vegas. This is the first time in 10 years that a GA will take place in North America, and we are very excited to have WTC Las Vegas show you all that this great destination has to offer. We are anticipating high attendance at this event, and will work with WTC Las Vegas to bring you keynote speakers, networking and entertainment opportunities that are truly “Vegas-style”.

On a personal note, my family and I are excited to settle into life in the Big Apple. Having moved from Halifax, we are looking forward to enjoying this great city and all it has to offer.

Lastly, and most importantly, I would like to thank Rolf Draak, who has served you as interim CEO of the WTCA with unwaivering commitment and dedication over the past 15 months. Rolf and I share the same vision of serving you, the WTC Network, and driving the WTCA into the future.

Sincerely,

Scott D. Ferguson
