BHUBANESWAR, INDIA - Entrepreneurship is the key factor which influences the economy of any nation. It is the vibrant entrepreneurs who with their strong will power and thought process succeed in exploring the scope available in the international markets said Mr. Panchanan Dash, Secretary Department of MSMEs, Government of Odisha. While emphasising on the importance of marketing of product or services he said that the international trade fairs should be utilized as the platform for developing the marketing strategy and networks for exploring the international opportunities rather than as an opportunity for selling the product at the exhibition, this he said while delivering the presidential address at the Seminar on Export Finance organized by World Trade Centre Bhubaneswar in association with Directorate of Export Promotion and Marketing, Department of MSMEs, Government of Odisha. He also encouraged the exporters by sharing some of the case studies from his experiences in international trade fairs.
Earlier Mr. A.O. Kuruvila, Deputy Director, World Trade Centre Mumbai in his inaugural address briefed the participants on the benefits of getting associated with the World Trade Centre and emphasised on the important role played by the World Trade Centres Association, New York in connecting the local entrepreneurs with the global network of 330 WTCs in 100 countries. Briefing about the export scenario of the nation he also brought out the importance of the seminar being organized on export finance.
Mr. B.K. Das, Director of Directorate of Export Promotion and Marketing and Mr. Laxminarayan Sahu, Manager, Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India also joined the seminar and highlighted on the role played by their respective organizations in promoting international trade.
Mr. Eknath Birari, an expert in Credit, International Trade Finance, International Marketing, International Business Management and Risk Management, conducted the seminar making deliberations on various aspects of export finance. Mr. Birari, an ex-banker by profession educated the participating entrepreneurs and exporters by increasing their awareness on the various guidelines of the Reserve Bank of India available for export finance. He could capture the delegates by his lucid presentation with specific case studies on the subject.

Over 120 delegates representing the trade and business community across various sectors of Odisha actively participated in the seminar. The question hour gave additional value to the seminar by highlighting the various aspects on export related subjects.
