Exploring Canadian - Taiwanese Trade Ventures
On Friday, April 26, 2024, WTC-Vancouver partnered with the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vancouver to host a market information session to explore the trade and investment prospects between British Columbia and Taiwan as part of a broader Indo-Pacific strategy.
The session provided businesses with insights into the benefits of investing in Taiwan, following the recent signing of the Foreign Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement (FIPA) between Taiwan and Canada.
Participants also connected with Taiwanese officials from the Energy Administration, and representatives from the Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research, learning how to capitalize on the investment opportunities offered by Taiwanese companies.
