TAIPEI, TAIWAN - The 2016 Taiwan International Water Show (Auqa Taiwan 2016) will be held at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center from October 20 to 22. The show will focus on innovative smart water technologies and sustainable development with exhibit areas including water treatment, sanitary ware, and fluid automation and processing.
According to The United Nations World Water Development Report 2015, a total of 48 countries in the world will suffer inefficiency of water resources by 2030. At the same time, the demand for higher quality water will rise in the developed countries. Moreover, with the global demand for “blue gold” on the rise, water related industries such as recycling, reuse and repurifying are forecast to undergo significant growth.
Launched in 2014, the Taiwan International Water Show became one of the key international trade and display platforms for Asia's water industry. In 2015, it attracted around 300 international buyers from the 34 countries including China, Malaysia, Japan, Singapore, Bulgaria and the US. More than 200 business meetings were held alongside the event, generating an estimated US$40 million in business.
Taiwan is the world's third largest supplier for water equipment and parts, and the Taiwanese exhibitors at Auqa Taiwan 2016 will display their latest innovations and products for the water industry supply chain. Seminars and procurement meetings will also be held alongside the exhibition, making it a one-stop and all-inclusive professional trade platform.
