22nd annual WTC Lugano Association Assembly:

WTC Lugano General Assembly has been honoured by the presence of Mrs. RĂĽhl, Chairwoman of the Executive Board of economiesuisse (economiesuisse.ch) during her first official visit to Ticino.

The event has been held at the Hotel Splendide Royal of Lugano on 1st of October and hosted nearly 150 participants, among WTC Lugano’s Association business members and guests of different categories.

During the general meeting, a very proud moment when Mr. Stefano Schira has officially been named Director of the WTC Lugano.

The General Assembly has been followed by a conference by Mrs. RĂĽhl.
Several themes have been featured such as Swiss economy, bilateral agreements between Switzerland and Europe, the importance of exchange-rate threshold (CHF 1,20 / Euro 1,00) etc., with the conclusion of a vigorous public debate led by Mr. Lino Terlizzi, journalist in economics and vice Director of the Corriere del Ticino, the regional daily newspaper in the canton of Ticino.

The conference was followed by a cocktail, opportunity to strengthen new business relationships between WTCA business members and guests.

Afterwards Mr. Schira was interviewed by the Ticino Chamber of Commerce’s magazine “Ticino Business” and by a Ticino based lifestyle magazine “Ticino Welcome”.
