World Trade Center Mumbai Institute of Education, the trade education wing of MVIRDC World Trade Center Mumbai, is organising a virtual Global Market Access Programme (GMAP) on 'Poland : Gateway to Central and Eastern European Region' on Friday, August 20, 2021 from 10 am – 5 pm.
Poland is the seventh largest destination of Indian goods in the 27-member European Union bloc. Amidst the pandemic, India’s exports to Poland has grown more than 6% in 2020-21, even as our overall exports to the world declined 7%. This reflects the future growth potential in bilateral trade. As of 2020-21, India-Poland trade volume stood at USD 2.3 billion, with India exporting USD 1.6 billion worth goods, while importing USD 700 million worth merchandise from Poland. The Indian government is creating new investment opportunities in the post-COVID scenario and promoting FDI. In the light of this significant development, GMAP assumes relevance as businesses in India and Poland are gearing up to explore each others’ market.
Potential sectors for collaboration are in agro and food processing, information technology, textile, mining and energy, pharmaceutical and chemicals, besides, cultural and education exchanges.
Besides providing an overview of business climate of Poland, the GMAP will also bring to light the emerging opportunities to forge fruitful collaboration, giving rise to new prospects in India.
Participants of GMAP will learn to identify key trends and forces shaping various sectors and further to take benefit of the emerging opportunities that are on offer.
Take advantage by enrolling and/or nominating your executives and officers to participate in this programme.
