WTC Navi Mumbai welcomed a Trade Mission from Montana (USA) on 25th and 26th February and organized an interactive session on 26th February 2024, at CIBA Tech Incubation Centre, Vashi, Navi Mumbai. The session was quite insightful and served as a great platform for networking.Â
The session started with a welcome address by WTC Navi Mumbai Advisor Mr. Jayant Ghate. Mr. Ghate explained the trade and investment promotion role of the WTC Navi Mumbai and its benefits to the start-ups ecosystem. This was followed by brief introduction of CIBA and the start-ups scenario in India by Mr. Prasad Menon, Chief Executive Officer, CIBA. Thereafter, few presentations made by start-ups/entrepreneurs incubated at CIBA who gave a detailed insight about their product and services.
Montana Trade Mission was organized by Ms. Supriya Kanetkar of SRK Associates who represent many states from USA and Canada in their trade and investment promotion efforts in India. She introduced the Members and explained the purpose of Montana Trade Mission. Delegates included Mr. Christopher Anderson and Mr. Jonathan Pederson from DJ&A seeking engineering design expertise; Ms. Cynthia Tsai from Montana BioScience Alliance focusing on collaborations in Biosciences; Ms. Elizabeth Corbin from PurCell Bio Inc exploring biotech and stem cell research partnerships; Mr.Steven Eror from Solo-Dex, Inc interested in connecting with potential distributors of Anasthesia Instruments and explore collaboration opportunities with them, and Mr. Allan Overcast from Tracer Technology Systems, Inc looking for collaborations in 2-way radio communication and their AMAS agriculture products. Ms. Elizabeth Marchi from Two Bear Capital Company aimed to connect with investors, explore India's Life Sciences ecosystem, and engage with telecom companies.
The Trade Mission fostered valuable connections and opportunities for collaboration across various sectors, contributing to the enhancement of bilateral ties between Montana and Navi Mumbai. The exchange of ideas and expertise during the interactive session served as a commendable platform for networking and potential future partnerships. Indian start-ups participating in the session had a good B2B meetings with the Trade Mission Members.
Mr. Sagar Ranshoor of CIBA proposed vote of thanks and expressed satisfaction over the session proceedings.
