WTC Navi Mumbai Advisor Jayant Ghate was the Special Guest at the D Y Patil University School of Management Orientation Programme for MBA Students Semester III , held on July 20 , 2017 in Navi Mumbai. As many as 200 Students were present on the occasion.
While addressing the Students , at the outset Mr. Ghate congratulated them for successful completion of the First Year semesters . He mentioned that they have completed only 25 percent of their management education and further 25 percent would be completed in the Second Year. Balance 50 percent would be acquired only by learning by doing or in real life situations.
Mr. Ghate stressed upon various types and dimensions of management such as 5 Ms namely Men , Materials , Machines , Methods and Money ... and asked the students to excel in each of these. He also added that in present times the new dimensions such as Knowledge , IT and Technology / Innovation have assumed greater importance in management sphere.
How WTCs can help in the area of International Business Management and in promotion of such endeavours , was also explained by Mr. Ghate for the benefit of students. He highlighted importance of WTCs in adding value by providing Trade Services like Information , Education and Research Services besides providing Facilities. WTCA and its network of over 300 WTCs in 90 countries can give students an effective platform to achieve their ambitions in global business , he said.
Dr. R Gopal Director DYPUSM welcomed the Students and gave them guidance in management . Other Guest Speakers at the event included Yogesh Mehta Chairman IMC Chamber Navi Mumbai , Ganeshan Pillai Director IMC and Khajan Singh Chief Manager of Bank of Baroda Navi Mumbai.
